This morning I attempted to top up online . The "Kontor yukle" button did not work.
I closed and opened the site three times and still it didn't work.
I went for the "533 follow the instructions" option. This did not accept my 7-digit (after 0533) despite 3 attempts.
I phoned Customer Service and explained that their site "Kontor yukle" button was inoperative. I also said it didn't work!
(Yes I registered my personal details some two months ago!)
The gentleman at Customer services told me their site was OK. I agreed but insisted the button was inoperative.
He advised me to close my phone and try again. I explained that I was accessing the site on my computer - not my phone (which incidentally is so old it runs on a combination of coal and steam!)
He then told me that as far as he could see the site was working OK but he would tell his "friend2 who was the technical man.
In the meantime, he said, I should try using a different computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh! Erol! Where were you in my hour of need??????

You don't need to enter the 'leading zero' but you do need to enter '533' before your 7 digit number...
Could that be the issue?

No Keith. I entered 533 and then the 7 digits.
Perhaps you missed the major point.
If the button on the site doesn't work - then try another computer!!!!!!!!..........
when you will find that the button on the site doesn't work.....and so on ad infinitum!

Re: Topping up Turkcell online - suspended?
Button's not working on a given website could well be a problem with your computer / browser I am afraid. Even if they used to work in the past. If it was a general problem from Turkcell's side I am sure they would know about it. Can you try a different browser (if you are using internet explorer for example try using google chrome or firefox or visa versa). I would also suggest trying it on a different computer - not as a permanent solution but just to establish if the problem is specific to just that one laptop. Can you post the actual web page where this 'button' that is not working is ?

Thank you Erol. I tried another laptop and accessed the page I wanted. I apologise for the unkind thoughts I have had about Turkcell staff and site managers.
Just so you know I can be an absolute clown, I went back to the original laptop and tried again.
I then noticed that Firefox had blocked pop-ups. I freed the block and got through. Duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If at first you don't succeed - hit it with a hammer!!! Always worked for my customers, then at least we would know it was bust!
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
