2 Dec | Philomathia Workshop Series: "Google Forms Tutorial" Wednesday, 14:30, Home for Cooperation

Philomathia is an educational initiative that grew out and in collaboration with BIOS Life Long Learning Centre. It aims at offering training courses on digital media and their use in the fields of education, of the arts and of the humanities.
The first training course to be offered is entitled "Google Forms Tutorial". It is a hands-on workshop aiming to teach you the basics of Google Forms and to demonstrate the different ways that this tool can be used for educational purposes, event management or for collecting data for research or other purposes. This workshop is intended for beginners with little or no knowledge of Google Forms.



5 Dec | Kids Clubs with EDIC Nicosia

Last Kids Clubs session with EDIC Nicosia will be led by Melis Eroğlu and Nicolina Karaolia at the Home for Cooperation. For the parents and children who want to enjoy a morning of dance and song, arts and crafts, exploring Europe and through its traditions and folk culture. 12 Dec | Historical Bike Ride

The Home for Cooperation invite all the people to join oncoming Historical Bike Rides who want to experience the old city of Nicosia by pedalling through khans, churches, mosques and along the walls with a group of curious people. Next bike ride is on Saturday, 12th December!

12 Dec | Creative Movement for Children

This workshop is an introduction to the art of dance and creative movement. In a safe space children will have the opportunity to explore and develop awareness of their bodies, discover how muscles change through movement and learn to work as a group. Maria Charalambous has been dancing since the age of three and her passion for dance has led her to study dance. By using the traditions of cultures as a starting point the children will explore the differences.

For age: 6-10
Time: 16:30 - 18:00
Participation fee: €15 per child, €10 siblings

by 14 Dec | Thursday Live at Home - Announcement for the new season!

The 2nd season of live music sessions within ‘Thursday Live at Home’ has finished for this year.
It was a great pleasure for the Home to see swinging feet and heads out of the rhythm of music!
The Home for Cooperation and the Home Cafe will have a short break to get ready for the new season.
If you, too, are interested in performing at the Home Café within ‘Thursday Live at Home’, please contact us and send all the info about you/your band/your music by 14th December 2015.

In the new season, we are planning to have both indoor and outdoor sessions depending on the weather conditions, so one-man-bands or acoustic performances are also very welcomed!

‘Thursday Live at Home’ sessions will be back on 3rd March at the same time!



4 Dec | Meditation

Weekly meditation sessions with Elena Iacovou at 17:00 to relax, strech, calm the mind with breathing exercising and to do written meditation practice known as SWAN. Do not forget to bring a pen, a notebook and a cushion or small blanket.

Tai-Chi workshops postponed!

On Thursdays, (3rd & 10th December), there will be no Tai-Chi workshops, because our instructor will be abroad on training. Next tai-chi workshop is on 17th December at the same time.
