Insurance companies feed back

A friend of mine recently had a small bang in his car on a private car park and admitted liability as the other car was parked with no one in it. It also seems that you need a police report to accompany any claim I'm told.
To cut a very long story short the insurance company would not pay out and my friend settled the damage from his own pocket. He however will undoubtedly be changing his insurer at the renewal date.
Now I don't wanted members to start a slanging insurance companies forum, but to give positive feed back on insurance companies that they have been shown satisfaction.

I know that Dagli insurance is the best I do work for some others and they pay out on claims they don't have to and the others would not
But if you have an accident you must call the police as no company will pay out without a police report

We have always used Kibris Sigorta through the their local agent Ali Bey. Have done so for 10 years and have always had complete satisfaction on any claims.Ali speaks English and has a very professional and personal attitude to his clients. He assists in all claims including any paperwork. Insurance is not cheap in Cyprus but you get what you pay for.

Dagli Sigorta every time. They have settled several claims for us regarding the car and house with absolutely not problems.

I'm with Commercial and have been for 10 years.

There were 2 minor prangs, both with inanimate onjects, while I was teaching someone to drive and Commercial fixed them without question. Then a ladder blew over in the wind damaging the front passenger door and again it was fixed without question. Finally, recently, the paint on my plastic bumper started to peel about 6 years after the first fix - again Commercial fixed it without a problem.

So clearly you don't need a police report for everything.

I totally agree with the recommendations with regards Trevor & Mary Hughes and Dagli Sigorta. I now insure my car and villa through them. I've had a cracked car windscreen which Trevor very quickly had sorted, car collected, windscreen replaced no charge and car brought back. Trevor has also given me excellent advice on ensuring my property has good security and valuables are properly listed and insured. He has visited my property, given advice and taken photos to ensure no arguments if I am unlucky enough to get burgled.
