So much talk about family with 2.4 kids coming here.Everyday I am here I realise we are controlled by Uncle Turkey.A close island for their gamblers and unfaithful husbands can come for weekends and lose lots of money.and give it to TRNC.As Lambousa said they spend so much more, and responsible for all the mega hotels here.Easy money, for the hotels and the seedy nightclubs.Much more easier money than supplying a Brit family a Beefburger 'n Chips and a couple of icecreams.AND it makes the homeland of Turkey a much more Muslim place....they don't wash their dirty washing in public !!!Of course this means the Russians are here, too, investing their roubles.......end of the 96's just 69's on offer !!!!

There are plenty of places here where you can get "burger and chips" ,and plenty of places elsewhere where you can get them, together with sun, sea, sand and swimming pools cheaper and easier to get to.
What North Cyprus needs to do is concentrate on providing a different environment, culture and experience from elsewhere, and they will not do that by destroying their natural assets with Casinos, large hotels and over development. I still doubt whether much income form the Casinos etc. finds its way into the TRNC economy.
