Just had the best Indian meal I have had in a long time.

Ambiance 10/10
Service 10/10.
Selection 10/10.
Taste of meal 10/10.
Size of portion 10/10 (too much).
Cost 10/10.
Got to make this a regular Sunday lunch.

On the Mare Monte road just off the coast road.

Absolutely agree. We have been twice now and both times were excellent. The inside of the restaurant is so cosy and romantic, the service amazing. The spices are brought over from India and no colours are added to the food. Whats more, the food is freshly cooked and piping hot. The best Indian Bhajis we have tasted. I wish them every success.

Well, went to the Taj last night and we weren't disappointed! Excellent food, tender meat, all the dishes we had tasted good ( we tried each other's dishes ) and the bahjies were the best we've tasted in a long time ! Pleasant staff, very welcoming and good atmosphere, we will definitely be going again, thank you all at Taj !

So glad you enjoyed it, we think it is the best Indian food in a long time and yes the bhajis are amazing. Freshly cooked and moist, not dried up. Going ourselves again next week.

Heard positive things about the place and visited last night. Excellent fresh food that you can taste.
Being veggie I had the paneer Balti and the vegetable korma and they were both cooked to perfection. My wife had the chicken sag aloo and our friend had the chicken madras. Both said you could taste the chicken without the sauce overpowering the dish. We had the onion bhaji to start and they were very very good.

Service was excellent.

6.00pm on a Sunday and they were getting very busy. Always a good sign.

Very highly recommended we will certainly return!

We went Friday night and were impressed probably the best curry west of Kyrenia. A good selection of well spiced curries and with excellent service. Will definitely be going back again.

Went yesterday evening to The Taj. Sadly we were the only ones in there (we left at about 8 o'clock) We have been a few times before and the meals are always consistently good. They don't have outside seating because they are on a side road (opposite Ya Beles) and it is very dusty, which they said could get into the food. The building looks a bit ramshackle but it is lovely inside. My husband had a mixed plate starter, which had 5 large items on there!! On previous visits we have had the onion bhargees (4 large!) and another in our party had the chicken tikka which could easily pass for a main. We had some poppadums too, hot but not greasy. The curries come with rice and nice thin crispy chappatis, everything freshly cooked. Give it a try, they deserve success!
