Where to buy a safe

Hi ALL,

Looking to buy a safe for small items of value, watches etc............anyone advise where to get hold of one?

There is a key cutting shop in the Turkish Quarter who sells safes. Coming from Karakum direction go past state hospital turn left at crossroads opposite Law Courts (right goes down to big car park) at the top of this road turn right & the shop is either the last one in the row on the left hand side or second to last.
There are lots of different ways to get there but hopefully this will pin the location for you!

Don't know where you're located but my local yapi (Izzy's in Lapta) sells them.

The airport mall at ercan has them in the big housewares shop called something like tektan.

Do check with your insurance company first. There are instances of people being robbed with no payout because the safe wasn't 1. good enough, 2. not installed correctly 3. not in correct place.

Be wary of those small 'electronic' safes that abound - apparently they are very unsafe if you know the trick, as shown here - watch to the end, and you will see the weak mechanism....
