Electric charges
Checked my bill at the bank as usual and it was 45tl more than last month but I have used less. I made a comment and the lady said oh it was in the newspaper that because of all the big companies such at hotels and casinos not paying their bills Kibtek are putting extra amounts on everyone elses bill to try and make it up. I think that is disgusting. Why penalise the payers?

Re: Electric charges
How strange. Kibtek say they will cut off supply to domestic users who owe more that 450tl, yet hotels, local council offices and companies do not have to adhere to same ruling ????

I've noticed our bills have been a lot more than usual too. It's getting more expensive as the months go on but we are using less!!!!

Re: Electric charges
Can't wait!!! But nothing surprises me in these large hotels e.g. yesterday I went into one of them for coffee. We were also given a small plate of chocolates and petit fours (spelling). When we came to leave I went to pay, after three people plus an under manager was called it was decided "it is on the house Madam" i.e, they didn't know how to cope with cash and couldn't find the password to get into the till. Everyone else was a gambler and they pay for nothing as the bank always wins in the end, so giving coffee etc away is a spit in the ocean. Don't forget that down south is just as corrupt as up here and they are probably better at salting it away!! I don't think EU rules will apply one little bit.
