Hi,
I have just emptied my pool to re grout some of the bottom, there are some nasty stains on the tiles on the steps which I cannot get off, tried lime scale remover, scrubbing with a scourer they just won't budge, any suggestions would be very welcome thanks.

Leave some granular chlorine on them. Works for most stains. If stain persists change the tile. You can put more chlorine on the stain once full by using a length is 2 or 3 inch pipe to direct the chlorine to the stain site.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

Try a product called Ernett in a red bottle. Purchase from area with bleaches, toilet cleaners etc in the supermarket. Have used this to clean stains made by plant pots on the travetine tiles and works really well. Do not use on tiles which have a shiny surface as it will strip the shine off.
