Kibtek online bills
Kibtek have changed the method of access to online bills. They ask for an account number and ID number ( presumably passport). Have filled in as required but still unable to access my account. They also ask for an SMS number, presumably telephone, which I also filled in. Why oh why do they keep making life as difficult as possible. How am I now supposed to know how much my electricity bill is?

I still cannot work out how to register on their website. Anyone got a clue?

Re: Kibtek online bills
Went into the Kibtek office and the man there explained that the house is still showing in the builders name and that we would need his ID to register. He gave me the required ID and I still get as far the SMS code but nothing comes through on my phone. Interesting to note that a lot of people will come up against this problem as many of us do not want to pay the exorbitant sum required to change the name on the bill.
But I still can't access the required details as no SMS code

Re: Kibtek online bills
If you want an itemised bill each month (by email), the same as you used to receive, this is what you need to do:
On your telephone that is connected to the internet you need to go to playstore.com.
Then you do a search for kibtek.com
This will eventually provide the KIBTEK app.
When you open the app you will be asked for your hesap number and Tuketici number (both of which are on your old 2015 bills).
This will open your account details.
Then you can enter your email address and choose for Kibtek to send you the bills each month by email (rather than by SMS).
Have a look at the info on the app and be patient.
It is all in Turkish but doesn't need much to understand it all.
Hope this helps.

Re: Kibtek online bills
I bought a place last year, the electricity meter was installed and registered at the Girne office in September, with me providing (as instructed) an email address to which bills would be sent. Neither (mobile) phone number nor passport number were requested - bills would be sent by email.
I subsequently registered online with Kibtek (about November?), giving (as requested) the previously provided email address and a password - thereafter, by logging in with email address and password followed by account (hesap) number and customer (tüketici) number, I was able to discover that "no billing information was available" - until on one occasion only (31 December) information was available! After that, for about two months, once again "no billing information was available". However - on 26 February an email arrived with a bill!
But now - I cannot even log on to Kibtek as it now only asks for my "Registered Cell Number" and my "Kimlik card number" - neither of which were asked for/could be provided....
So..... now I wait to see whether I get any more bills via email - or what?
Fortunately, I paid in advance to cover while I'm in the UK......
(and "..telephone connected to the internet..." and Apps?) No smart phone; I refuse to have any device smarter than me; my Nokia 3330 is only switched on for emergency outgoing calls (I'm not likeable or important enough for anyone to call me) so if and when Kibtek finally set their website to a fixed system - I'll have to see whether it can cope with Luddites like me....

Re: Kibtek online bills
Many thanks for your detailed replies.
I have come up against a brick wall as I do not own a "smartphone" - don't want one and have no plans to buy one.
So back to square one. How on earth are we supposed to find out how much the bill is each month???
I really don't think Kibtek have thought this one through properly as there must be many people in the same position.
