A big thank you to the forum members who recommended Hatib when I recently posted a request for gardeners. He is one of a rare breed in my experience here over the last 12 years, a personable businessman who delivers exactly what he promises on time and at a sensible price.

It was a delight to see our garden when we arrived this week but not unexpected as our neighbours here had already emailed me asking for his details as he had done such a good job for me - two more jobs for Hatib as a result. He has also done some work on our pool and house again to a good standard so I would have no concerns in reccomending him to other forum members for all property maintenance issues.

On a separate but related issue I noticed recently a poster bemoaning the lack of interesting topics and whilst I understood where he was coming from, not being particularly interested in matters canine for example, perhaps life in general is often mundane and is reflected in the range of topics here. However from my perspective, as someone who is not a permanent resident, being able to "dip in" to the forum on a regular basis gives me a flavour of what's current here and,as above, when I can get reccomendations for the jobs/services I need, I think by and large the forum does fulfil its purpose. So thank you to Soner and team - if it ain't broke.........
