Three passengers on a Pegasus flight from Istanbul to Ercan were arrested after reportedly claiming that they were carrying bombs.
The Pegasus flight which arrived at Ercan airport at 10.45 on Sunday evening had just parked, when cabin crew were told by three passengers, that they had explosive devices on them, ‘Yeni Duzen’ reports.
The civil aviation authorities and security staff were alerted and the airport was shut down. Police boarded the plane and arrested the three passengers. After all passengers had left the plane, it was thoroughly searched.
It is not known yet whether or not the bomb scare was the result of a prank or if there had been a genuine threat.

This story was in Cyprus Mail on Monday but didn't get picked up by Turkish papers for few days. Hope they get full force of law when they come to Court. I'm flying this weekend and hate flying, does not bode well with me even knowing safest way to travel, so people tell me. First flew in 1957 and just gets worse.
