I understand the new people have been having problems with TRNC beaurocracy, I'm sure they will get there in the end though.

They are open but are not stocking or serving local drinks. I was shocked that a gin and tonic was going to cost 12tl. Utter snobbery

Yes they are open, food nice but long long wait for it. Possibly get better as they go on.

Hi Julia thanks for the feedback.

Not through snobbery but just because we didn't think there was a demand for it, we didn't stock local drinks when we opened, however, as we have now had a couple of requests we are stocking local Gin, Vodka and Brandy, with Mixer priced at 8tl.

Hi Sammy
Yes we have had some teething problems but we will continue to improve on speed, Obviously freshly prepared food cooked to order does take longer.

Hope both you guys are willing to give us another go!

I for one , would rather wait for good home cooked food with a view like the Hut sipping a few cold beers than wait 5 mins & get microwaved food . Surely if u want quick food go to a fast food place , & as they say they will get quicker once they have settled in .

I had good food & wasn't kept long to get it , keep up the good work .

I don't think 12tl for a branded gin and tonic is overpriced or snobbery, I also don't mind waiting for food.

The food I've had at the Hut has been excellent: freshly cooked to perfection. Not a noticeably long wait neither.

As to local drinks:
Raki and Brandies here are actually distilled and are "proper". Other local "spirits" are merely coloured, flavoured and diluted alcohol, begging the question: colored, flavoured and diluted with what? So in the matter of local spirits I am happily snobbish and consider GBP3.00 for a double UK measure of actual spirit with mixer really pretty cheap.

Ate lunch there today.... Draught Strongbow, for me, is a plus. All four of us were more than happy with the food. Welcoming and friendly. We left shortly after eating because of the wind.... Can't blame the Hut for that. Would I return? Yes!

We had a lovely meal at The Hut recently. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The house wine was extremely good too. The venue has been spruced up and is looking just great. Good luck to the new proprietors for a successful first season.

Just had a meal there this evening and both my wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed it. Teriyaki Salmon for her and Calamari for me, very nice. Nice people and good food, what more can you ask for. The sun wasn't shining but that wasn't their fault, but with the setting it enjoys it is a lovely place to spend time eating and drinking.
Ps my only complaint was with the Rocky Road Sundae. Because of the shape of the glass I couldn't get my spoon, finger or tongue down to the bottom and had to wait for it to melt to drink it. Yes, I am kidding, it was bloody lovely.
