Any info about the best building/ contents insurance agent in north Cyprus please.

Dagli Insurance, run by Trevor and Mary Hughes also very good. They haveva stall at Lambusa every Saturday, and an office in Karaoglanoglu next to Mutlu garage (almost opposite Exotic Kumas).

We would recommend Dagli everytime. They pay out without any queries for genuine claims, they don't have huge excesses built into the small print and go out of their way to accommodate their clients. Dagli are the third company we have been with in 10 years and in our opinion are second to none in their professionalism and value for money/premium.

Is Dagli a Cypriot or Turkish company? People must be aware that in the event of a catastrophy here eg the big fire of 1996(?) or an earthquake many Cypriot insurers would not have the funds to pay out & would go bankrupt.

Dagli are a Turkish Cypriot company but they are very old established. We have found them to be excellent. Trevor (phone no: 0533 8443403) is very helpful.

Dagli are excellent. Trevor & Mary are always available to give help and guidance when needed. Coverage for areas like earthquake damage and power surges which do not come with a number of other companies.

I know nothing about Dagli but am not disputing that they are an excellent company & provide excellent service but just highlighting the fact that Cypriot companies do not re-insure (eg Lloyds in UK) so in the event of a catastrophy it is entirely possible they would not be able to meet claims.
