Referendum, my right to vote
Stockton on tees council decided to hold a major cycling event leading to traffic chaos. My out vote by proxy was not registered. Totally outraged!

Re: Referendum, my right to vote
My wife's postal ballot paper arrived in the post yesterday, applied in early May and ballot paper sent out on 19th June - another remain vote that can't be counted - irritated but an expected happening from a country that could not organize a p*** up in a brewery yet thinks it can "Go it alone!

Re: Referendum, my right to vote
Same with me. We applied for our postal vote at the start of the year, and got it. I explained then to the powers that be that for us here in the TRNC there was much delay in receiving/returning land post to the UK, asked if this could be taken in to account and would they please send out our postal vote sooner than to two weeks being quoted. This request by me was repeated again by email to our local Registration Office in April. It would seem that all my requests were ignored. My partner received her postal vote last week and l am yet to receive mine!waddo wrote:My wife's postal ballot paper arrived in the post yesterday, applied in early May and ballot paper sent out on 19th June - another remain vote that can't be counted - irritated but an expected happening from a country that could not organize a p*** up in a brewery yet thinks it can "Go it alone!
Irritated is not the word I would use, I feel well p****d off with this failure by our local Registration Office.
I will be writing to my MP relaying my outrage.

Re: Referendum, my right to vote
Maybe, like our local office, they did not have enough time to get ready for the referendum because it was sprung on them??? Sorry, that was a cynical comment - and it was meant to be!!
