Larnaca airport today
Oh dear its started. Friend on Facebook stated that at Larnaca airport today, on showing his passport was told to go through "non eu" when asked about this was told that they had received notification this was a "urgent directive from Brussels". He isn't someone to have a joke like this, so I think this is correct. Just means few more minutes added to journey I suppose

The UK is still a member of the EU and it's citizens carry EU passports, whoever the little pipsqueak was who said this should be severely reprimanded.

The UK is still in the EU so this is a strange development if true. If it were me I would be challenging this. Maybe also contact High Commision or seek clarification from UK sources.
Saying that we crossed this morning at Metehan on our way to drop off at Larnaca airport. Showed our passports as normal to the Greek Cypriot passport control and as normal they were not even looked at or taken from us..... Just waved thro. As is normal for people of an EU member state.
Suggests to me it's either a joke or a jobs worth official who does not understand EU legislation.

At least the official didn't start screaming "You are living in MY HOUSE!"...which they have been known to do...

Ah, back to the good old days - HM Government requests and requires, blah, blah, blah! I give up counting how many times I have had my Great British Passport simply thrown back to me with a sneer! The best one was many years ago at Sana in the Yemen - all of us servicemen in the que were told the same thing after the "official" examined our passports "Thank you Mr Smith have a good holiday", you just can't make up things like that - lol
It all comes down to the "official" at the time and yo get to do what they say regardless, quite expect the attitude of the RoC to change as time goes by.

That was in the days when members of HM Forces had "Government Official" as occupation in their passport - very clever! Slightly off topic but nonetheless relevant. If the SNP hold, and are successful with, a second referendum and are accepted (eventually) as members of of the EU, what would be the position of Scots who are resident in England and on the Electoral Roll in their respective constituencies, would they be entitled to hold both an EU and UK Passport?

Spoke to the official at methane on Friday as a joke asked if we are OK over the brexit . He smiled and said I hope Cyprus comes out now.

Close but no cigar - under occupation it was "Government Service" - may have been different for the privileged cap wearer's but for the workers it was always the same.
As for a Scot living in England (taking it that Scotland remains in the EU but comes out of Great Britain) then provided you have the correct "English" Visa you should have no problem with your 90 day stay on your EU passport - making this up as I go along but its fun - of course you could then apply for citizenship of England, after a suitable time, and if successful there is no reason why you would not be able to hold both passports. I guess it will all depend - as you will be an immigrant (LOL) - if England will let you stay in England to start with.
This is much more fun than worrying about what is going to happen because of BREXIT!!!! Come on, somebody else add some stupid ideas to mine.
