I was concerned, my friend was flying into Istanbul yesterday evening, I have spoken with him it is quite chaotic, but of course huge delays and back log due to flights being grounded.He landed at 10,00 ish stayed on the tarmac for around 4 hours then spent rest of night in the airport. He has now changed is ticket , he said massive ques and is due in to Ercan hopefully around 5.00 pm.

Our thoughts are with all the injured people and condolences to the people killed. What is the matter with a minority of mad B-------s in this world ? All most decent people want is to live in peace.

Here in the UK public can enter Arrivals unchecked, in Turkish airports you are not allowed to you have to wait outside the exit doors.

Thanks Wanderer he's one of our fellow supporters, Met him at Apex Taxis in 1979 and been like brothers ever since , have not seen him for quite a while and this is first trip here. So I had a sleepless night

If you ever used taxis in the late 70s or working Mens clubs ,pubs or similar you would probably have met him. Or certainly heard him he was a base operator and driver for several Cab firms in Wolverhampton.

Ataturk airport is like a small city, So he would not see any of the aftermath. But hopefully a few Efes this evening and he can catch up on his sleep.
