Yes amazing isn't it? Stir up the people, mis-sell, u-turn, and then run away! LOL after dividing a country so much even friends are no longer friends. You just could not make it up. But one thing is for sure, and that is those that voted for Brexit as the vision of Boris and his now quiet friend Nigel, will not happen. Yes there may be some re drawing of lines and re-negotiations which would not be a bad thing as the EU is not perfect, but all those flying British flags and shouting nationalistic ideals about getting rid of immigrants, and stopping more immigrants coming in to the country (mostly young people who put way more in to the economy than they take out), are not going to get what they wished, but those who voted for Brexit on their own rational beliefs, may just get some of what they wanted. We shall see.

Had not seen or heard Nigel Farage before, but watched his speech to the EU. What an outstanding man , Shame he can't be PM. Also got quite a lot of support from people at the end of his speech.

totally agree nigel farage would make a good pm.all those in voters get on with the fact a democratic vote by the people won fair and square .times will be hard untill things are sorted out but if you have some thing to sell and someone wants to buy you buy or sell its called trade.i think england will and always will survive without the eu.thats my opinion .

Sadly Gove turned into Judas as I thought you do not need friends like that I feel his stab in the back will be the end of him. Hope they choose may she may have balls.

May is the odds on favourite, she was never really strongly behind the remain vote more like a closet leaver ... just been listening to her campaign manager on the radio i think she would do really well.

David you are absolutely right, May stayed out of the campaign and refused to get drawn in.
I too think that she leaned further to out than in and her speech today confirmed this,... she is clear favorite and I think she will win.
She is a politician so we should not believe all she says but she certainly has respect for the result.....or does she ?

So it's the Tory 'nasty party' showing it's true colours yet again. Reminiscent of the way Margaret Thatcher was treated, which has taken the Conservative party many years to recover from and now it's done it again. When the voting paper comes for party members unfortunately there won't be a 'none of the above' box to tick. I certainly will not be voting for backstabbing Gove or 'I hate the police', 'don't rock the boat & vote for remain' Theresa May.

Theresa May is a very shrewd cookie, she has said that the vote to leave must be respected and that "brexit means brexit" she has also said that there must be no attempts to remain inside the eu and that there must be no attempt to re-join it through the back door. Also quoted as saying that there will be no second referendum and no emergency brexit budget. Sounds very positive and would get my vote for sure.

According to various reports, Mrs. Gove wanted Hubby to get "SPECIFIC assurances from Boris", i.e.promises, otherwise .."no leverage..."
... and a little later, "Brute" Gove delivers one of the biggest knives in the back ever known.....
I suspect Brutus' chances of support depend on how much he promises - and how many are now stupid enough to believe any of his promises...
An excellent, ethical, honourable, trustworthy choice to lead the country - come back Dave, all is forgiven...
(Gove makes even Corbyn look a possible option....)

Farage...Not a cat in hells chance in my view. Where is his party?
He is NOT in the Conservative running so cannot possibly be considered. Thank goodness!!
Independence day has been overshadowed by BLACK FRIDAY.
Boris has lead the country out of the EU but now cannot stomach the cleaning up of the mess. BREXIT voters sold down the river by two men that clearly are not able or capable of stepping up to the plate to account. Disgraceful.
BREXIT camp has gone very quiet apart from the gloss over. "Tl has one up" so everything is indeed dandy.

Hey - what about a Gove/Farage coalition, with Johnson and Trump as marriage brokers (or Best Man and Bridesmaid), with Murdoch as flower girl.....

David Cameron has admitted that Brussels blocked efforts by the Government to protect British steel
The Prime Minister's shocking comments came as new doubts emerged over whether the company being touted as a possible saviour for Britain's steel plants will actually make a bid.
The Liberty Group, which had suggested it could save all 15,000 jobs if it buys the beleaguered Tata's steelworks, has warned the process could take months and no decision yet has been made to definitely make a bid.
It comes as Business Secretary Sajid Javid, who has been strongly criticised for missing crucial meetings at the start of the crisis so he could go on holiday, has said he will visit the Port Talbot steelworks in Wales.
But with Brexit campaigners pointing out that EU rules are preventing the government from putting forward a rescue package for the steel industry, Mr Cameron also admitted that he was stopped from putting tariffs on cheap Chinese steel being dumped in Europe.

Speaking at a question and answer session on the EU referendum in Exeter, the Prime Minister was challenged over claims that his government had called for the steel tariffs with China to be lifted.
However, he said: “We actually voted for tariffs against Chinese steel.
“The only issue where we have been less keen was that there was an attempt in Europe to not only change tariffs for steel but have a whole regime of tariffs on all sorts of other things as well as steel.
“Our vision of Europe is one where we try to support free trade rather than a very protectionist Europe."
The comment was seized on by Brexit campaigners as evidence of the problems the UK has in making trade deals which suit Britain while it is tethered to the EU and cannot act alone in the country's interest instead being forced to find compromises with 28 other nations.

Re: Boris johnson
I would give my vote to May - she is the only one strong enough to put the country before her own political career! The rest of them are just pension pot fillers, waiting out their time so they can retire in manner they think fitting for themselves.
Farage and Johnson only have one thing in common and that is Farage and Johnson, glad that one has run off to hide in the bushes and happy that the majority of free thinking people can see that the only thing Farage is good at is making himself look good.
Britain has no government - it just has one of the most historic kindergarten establishments in the country, full of the oldest children in the world who can do nothing but argue or abstain.

No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
