cash out of ercan

I have a slight concern over how much sterling you can take out of Ercan

Turk bank said 8K per person, yet someone else (here we go again said that was too much!)

Can anyone be definitive please?

Thanks for reply. It is cash OUT of cyprus. Into UK limit is 10k euro

I took cash back, it was only a few hundreds that was left over, sniffer dog at Stansted found it, I explained what it was to handler, but was subsequently pulled aside as I walked through. We had to open suitcases.........

Same happened to me in Manchester advised by customs if carrying large amounts of cash to have it banded and have a bank statement available.

10k Euros is the limit. Just make sure you have your banks books with you if you are paying the money into a UK bank as they will want to see where the money has come from!
