Advice re flying with pets
I am trying to book 2 dogs with Turkish Airlines. I am travelling alone and have been told that I cannot bring 2 dogs in the hold on the same flight. This means I will have to find someone else to take one of the dogs on a separate flights or put one dog in kennels and take a return flight to collect the other dog. This is not ideal but might be the only way.
Any advice ?, Ive contacted Kar Pets and they are being very helpful but just putting it out there just in case anyone has another solution
thanks in advance

It might help if you can say from/where you are flying perhaps some kind person is also going that way would be willing to take one of the dogs in return for a contribution to their flight? This would be cheaper & easier than you doing the journey twice.

Re: Advice re flying with pets
I came out with Turkish Airlines a couple of years ago. My wife and daughter took 2 cats in the cabin and 2 dogs in the hold no problem (from Manchester). Both dogs are Shitzu's and we didn't have any problems. I guess they have changed the rules?
What breed/size of dog and which airport are you flying from?

Another alternative is to bring them overland Hire It are offering this service & took my friend & her dog back from TRNC to UK a couple of months ago without any problems.

Hi I brought two dogs out in February and my partner and I had to fly separately with respective dogs on consecutive days.

Thanks for all your comments. They are both border collies and hoping to fly from Edinburgh. I cannot find any link to Hire it and wonder how long it takes overland and are the dogs crated for the whole time?
I was told that the policy has changed and now the excess baggage charge per kilo is 20 euros

The journey to France from here is 3 days, and no, they're not crated as they yravel as pets. I'm travelling with my 4 mutts in a mini bus.
