For those out east side....Catalkoy/Ozankoy. This restaurant formerly known as The Bergamut is situated approx 400mtrs further on from Sah supermarket as you head into Girne. On the right hand side of the road opposite the butchers shop.

Place has recently changed ownership and having driven by many times finally decided to give it a go. Arrived at 8pm to find we were the only ones there......hmmm. However, we were made very welcome and selected our table. As we were hungry we went for the usual kebab and mezes. There was also kleftico on as the nights special. A good assortment of mixed mezes were bought out, many a little different from the norm. Plus some freshly toasted bread and bowl of mixed green salad. Nice selection of hot mezes followed by lamb shish, chicken shish, chops, kofte and sheftalia. More than enough meat and salads. There was then a nice portion of fresh fruit.....melon and oranges plus walnuts in syrup. Rounded off with turkish coffees. Plus we had the usual beers.

The hosts were really pleasant and chatty and were keen to impress, which they did. Yes its the usual fare, but the mezes were a little different and whilst we did not have the kleftico, a couple on the next table did and it looked excellent.

We were slightly concerned we were the first to arrive for the evening, but later on local people came in for meals which for us is always a good sign. Overall a very good meal in pleasant surroundings.

Meal is 50tl per head and well worth it. We will be back.

Sorry no number........

They were doing Efes at 5TL between 4 - 6pm a week or so ago but may have stopped now. Might be worthwhile calling in for a drink and a look round to suss the place out.

PoshinDevon, seems like 50tl is a pretty good deal for a full kebap. Will try it out and report.
