Re: Hotelling.com
Is that the correct spelling? Not hotels.com, which I think might be another company.

Yes. Correct spelling . Think hotels.com are another company but can't be sure . Also will add that even though it was paid with Barclays they say that because they are based in Spain you are not protected by uk safety nets . It ABTA. Even the insurance this company sold you doesn't cover for the hotels booked , only the flights ! As Keith says , it's all in the statement he sent a link to .

Hoteling.com is/was a hotel booking engine belonging to Lowcostholidays, which recently went bust. Lowcostholidays used weasel words to disguise the fact that they had moved base to Mallorca and their customers were not ATOL covered.

Because, if you pay for something with a CREDIT CARD, and don't receive the goods or services that you paid for, then the CREDIT CARD COMPANY are 'jointly and severally liable' for your loss - and it doesn't matter where in the World the LOSS occurred!susiesusie wrote:Lucky for some and not others . Unfortunately paid by Barclays debit card . Perhaps that's where the difference is . Never by debit , always by credit !
