Product to clean shower screens??!
The water here is very hard and stains my shower screens. What's the best product to use for sparkling screens??

I always use a window blade to clean the screens after every shower, it doesn't get into where the screen overlaps but does keep them reasonably clean otherwise.

If it is fairly heavily scaled, use Mr.Muscle limescale remover or a limescale removing toilet cleaner to start with, then use a daily shower cleaner spray after every shower, Stops the scale forming, easy to use and no work!

Best to use a 'partly worn' panscrubber, and not press hard, or else you might scratch the glass screen...Wookie wrote:I use a mix of lemon juice and white vinegar and one of those little green pan scrubbers............works a treat!!
Viakal foam spray is an excellent scale remover, but you need to keep it away from aluminium!

Bingo Krem which is a bit like Jif (or Cif) works a treat if it is heavily scaled. Use Pax spray after showering to keep glass clean. Best method of all - wash down in the sink and leave the shower alone, works a treat.

Thanks for all your replys. I bought some cilik bang that's for limes ale. Was very good, but bit left that wouldn't come off. I'll try lemon and white wine vinegar next time

I have tried numerous things on our shower screens including the famous Cilik Bank...which is rubbish in my opinion. I am going to try some of the more home made recipes. Fed of wasting money on products which do not work.

Keith,
You can buy the green pan scrubbers that are specially for non stick pans and glass.

Eeeeh, you must have some posh emporiums up your way - I just buy the ordinary ones, and demote 'em when they get a bit worn...come_on_aylin wrote:Keith,

It could be its not all lime scale. I have a glass shower screen in the UK and was told that hard water can etch the glass. So it's not lime scale but that the glass has marked, which you can't get rid of. Believe me, I tried everything, and can't get rid of the marks.

I've also got glass shower screens that have been etched, and like you, I've tried everythingTerri299 wrote:It could be its not all lime scale. I didn't want to put people off trying, in case their remaining marks were actually limescale - or, who knows, they manage to shift the marks, and we all find out how to do it

Re: Product to clean shower screens??!
Apologies, it is called Bref not Brev and yes it is Turkish, in blue bottle. It also gets all the water marks off taps and stainless steel sinks. I can only usually find it in Lemar.
