The Hut dog
Perhaps because of hot weather but I haven't seen the Hut dog for ages, do hope he is still being looked after.

What kind of answer is that!frontalman wrote:No, they are singers!
I was trying to stay with the original post.
The point of me asking if the new owners of The Hut were local Cyps was that the individuals that informed us that they were not open were locals. And if it had been confirmed with a "sensible" response maybe; that the new owners were indeed locals. Then there would be the answer to the original question regarding the welfare and where a bouts of the Hut Dog. Work it out!!

Re: The Hut dog
And to answer the question about the new owners, they are British expats and closed every Tuesday.....it's a family run business and very pleasant with scrummy food! They love animals and have taken many strays in who have become part of the family but I fear there is no room at the inn for anymore........they are true animal lovers so if the Hut dog has disappeared this would not be due to the new owners.......

By the way, I don't think it's right to tar everyone with the same brush. Many locals are animal lovers too.

snd1966 - thank you for the one and only sensible, straight answer to my question. So glad to hear dog seems ok. Do the same people still feed and water him?

Re: The Hut dog
Totally agree with you, yes many locals are animal lovers. But a great deal more locals treat animals very poorly with a total disregard for their welfare, and that's not just my view.frontalman wrote:By the way, I don't think it's right to tar everyone with the same brush. Re: The Hut dog
All three of the family have taken part in singing extravaganzas for charity in the recent past but I have been assured they are now full-time restauranteurs. The pertinent part of my response to you was the answer "No" to your question as to whether they were locals.
What kind of answer was it - a truthful one, though you didn't like it, apparently.

So all is well in the world! The restaurant wasn't taken over by wicked TCs, the dog wasn't dumped and is thriving well. I think this dog must be one of the smartest around, by the way.
