Feedback on service from Beko & Toros please?

We are in the market for an aircon unit at the moment which appear to be in short supply on the island! Both Beko & Toros have suitable units but I am not sure about their service record. We bought kitchen appliances for our old house from Toros 12 years ago but their service was abysmal. Although we have bought the odd thing from Beko we have never had to call on their Service Department.
If anyone has any recent experience we would very much appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Get yourself Grundig inverter air con units from either Beko ( who now own the mark) or one of the other suppliers of the same... then are ultra quiet and very very good.

We got ours from the shop opposite the GAU junction in Karaoglanoglu and it was supplied and fitted in double quick time and at a very reasonable price... prices may have fluctuated due to recent exchange rate changes but I'd still go down that route.

They are also available from Tunc in Catalkoy I believe.

Had an "Airfel" inverter unit (Owned by Daikin) fitted two years ago via TRNC Vaughan. Has worked perfectly since installation and is also brilliant for efficient heating during the winter. We priced up Beko and Arcelik units, the Airfel was the cheaper option. We have Beko & Arcelik units installed also and have had breakdowns on both in the first two years, despite minimal usage at that time.

We have used Beko for lots of appliances over lots of years. Their service and follow up service is second to none. When our granite worktop guy cut through a drain from the dishwasher by mistake Beko came out and replaced it for free.

Also have had Airfel inverters fitted. Extremely quiet and very cheap to run compared with non-inverter types. I have the number of the guy who did ours if anyone needs. Very clean good workers.

Had my inverter type supplied and fitted by Mr Pipe in Karakum - worth asking for a quote.

We bought Beko white goods 3 years ago, and have had to call them out with a couple of problems, One was the freezer stopped, working they took it away and repaired it and the clock stopped working on our oven which was replaced, all the work done under the guarantee. No complains about them,

That's interesting re Beko as they were the cheapest & the only one with a glass (probably perspex) front that I had in mind.
Have never used aircon for heating (or even much for cooling!) before so would members say they are all much or a muchness on this mode.
Groucho thanks for the tip have been to Tunc in Catalkoy what an amazing shop have never been in there before! They can get us a Grundig so you really think they are worth paying extra for?

We bought a Grundig three months ago, fantastic machine. My wife was suffering a skin complaint and needed cool but the Grundig was so quiet in operation, we had to have it on full fan, so she could hear it working. Very pleased with it, we paid 2000 Tl installed but someone on another thread said they got it for 1800 TL.

Thanks for this info hope your wife got better. We have been quoted 3700 tl for a Grundig but this is for a 24 BTU am presuming yours was a smaller unit.

This is the thread from last year : http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/v ... 10#p122710. We bought the same unit from the same shop for same price. Tunc in Catalkoy are selling it for 2000TL, and the next model 18,000 BTU for 3000TL. Didn't notice cost for 24,000 BTU.
They were much better value than the others quoted at the time. Perhaps the other posters can divulge how much they paid for Airfel, Mr Pipe, etc for comparison purposes.

We are in the market for A/C for heating in the winter and will, like Groucher, almost certainly go to the shop opposite the GAU turning What I like about that shop is because I always buy Blomberg if at all possible, their after sales service, both the shop and Blomberg main depot in Lefkos is second to none, its a small family business and they go over and above to assist, even when the 2 or 3 year guarantee has run out. I would be prepared to pay extra if I knew there was going to be no hassle if I have a query. Unlike in the past with a a HotSpot, useless and noisy. Cheap Chinese rubbish I suspect, under another name.
