Met someone at lunchtime who said "The mayors argument will probably be that he is not actually depriving people of water, he's just asking them to pay what he considers a fair price. Plus another argument will be, having mains Turkish water is safer than buying from tankers. There is no guaranteeing the grade of water in tankers. Is it drinking water or second grade agricultural water?" Don't shoot the messenger!!!

Hi is actually depriving people of water if they cannot afford his exorbitant start-up cost of £1000+ and they cannot get water from any other source. Why is his 'fair' price some 10 x times what he has charged those living in Esentepe village? Nobody drinks the tankered water. Even the Cypriots living around me are furious at the rip off of yabincilar.
