A real hero-Sardunya bay
We happened to witness a truly heroic act at Sardunya bay yesterday ,
Avery agitated lady ran up from the beach asking someone to ring the police ambulance coastguard as her friend was caught off the beach in a part of the water were she could not get back to shore and was becoming more tired and basically drowning.
Oktay the owner ran out of the kitchen , took a wind surf board and paddled it out against the wind and current to the lady in question and slowly helped her back to shore.
I was recounting this later to a friend and the lady concerned was behind me,she told me that he had saved her life but she did not know who he was so I introduced the pair ,hugs to all concerned,
A true hero

Sounds great Sophie, but the misery gutes would still find a way to dampen any happiness or leg pulling... .. It's just not allowed on the forum any more, ..
What about a naughty section? For those who have been banned , ..

yes, sort of bring them back in gradually,...
As for sarduna bay rescue , that's so lovely to hear, I thought it always safe to swim there ...

I think that it is pretty safe, but there's always the danger, if you're not a strong swimmer, of getting a little out of your depth...
It only takes the wind to freshen a bit, and all of a sudden the combination of choppy waves and 'not being able to feel the bottom' can induce panic!
Been there!
Well done to the rescuer!

This is the 4th incidence of someone getting into trouble at Sardunya that I have heard but I believe it occurs quite far out and on the side opposite the hotel (but don't quote me on it).
