Surge protector for washing machine
The only thing that we don't have surge protected in our apartment is the washing machine. It is in a bathroom. The switch for power is just outside the room. Has anyone a simple solution? Thanks

The simple way is to switch all appliances off at the wall when not in use and during a power cut, if they were being used when the power went off. The problems tend to occur when the power comes back on. If you have a voltage regulator that shows the voltage coming in, check that it's not coming in above 250 V. At one time ours was coming in at 267 V, we reported it to Kibtek and they came out within 2 hours to adjust the transformer in our street. It's now coming in around 240-245 V.
