New Ada Hotel, Lapta
If people have been walking the Lapta Coastal Path this year they will have noticed the construction of the soon-to-be New Ada Hotel not far from Silver Rocks.
I attach a photo taken from the coastal path.
I was wondering what people might think about this new hotel.
Clearly it is only four storeys which is a good thing. But I think it is too big for the location, out of place and not in keeping with the traditional "charm" of rural Lapta and Karsiyaka - it spoils the "ambiance" of the area along the coast and the mountain range.
But it will bring in more visitors which will probably benefit the local restaurants - but that means that we will definitely need to book in advance for Silver Rocks.

Unless of course it keeps all its customers in house.

That's if they finish it, like many other half built projects along the coast, such a shame.

Has the Lapta walk been extended yet, it was going to go out to sea?

Lapta walk is being extended . Progressing past Lapta Habour.
Do wish they would spend more money on basic and essential highways.
Proper kerbed demarcation would put a halt to the terrible and dangerous undertaking whenever traffic slows.
Mobile phone usage whilst driving is rife and surely should be policed.
Priorities are so misplaced and the lack of understanding is abundant.

Is the work in progress? when we were there February there was a picture of the intended extension, it is an EU funded project so the money has to be spent on that.
