Manchester airport

Hi, I have just been informed of a flight change with cobalt from Larnaca to Manchester in January which means my flight will now be leaving 3 hours earlier than original time, I will therefore be landing at Manchester at approximately 9.30 am. My husband was going to pick me up to take me home to Newcastle but now with the flight arriving much earlier I thought i would get the train, does anyone know who have maybe travelled with Cobalt if the flights tend to arrive on time and also what terminal does it fly into and how far is it from there to the train station. There is a straight through train but it will only give me an hour, or the next train would mean I would have to change twice which I don't really want to do. I can travel with just hand luggage which would save time collecting baggage but worried it's not enough time, I don't want to book a ticket and then be worried I won't make the train in time. Any advice much appreciated, thanks

I don't think that it's generally a good idea to suffer stress wondering if your connection will be on time, and whether you will manage to get yourself plus luggage to the right place, on time...

Bear in mind that if they have changed the flight time once, then they might do it again - and make it later!

Given that cobalt do not fly to Leeds (so you might have to accept a total loss on the money paid for your flight if you decided to change destination), I would stick with your original travel plans, and just keep a weather eye on the flight timings in case they do change again!

It's bad enough travelling without having to worry about connections - I'd rather allow a bit longer, and, if necessary, pay a little more (shock, horror!), and know that it was all going to go according to plan...

Mind you, I have now reached the 'pipe and slippers stage' - even though I don't smoke!

According to this, Cobalt use either terminal 1 or 2; there is a moving walkway ("flat escalator"!) labelled"Skylink" between each terminal and the railway station - not short, so allow 10-15 min just for that walk (several years ago I worked at the station, so I know!).
As to Cobalt airline punctuality, we flew from Man to Larnaca September and back October - in both cases, about 20 minutes later taking off, but about 15-20 minutes early arrival - having looked at their flight records on flightradar, slightly late takeoff/early arrival seems normal!
Just looking at the train times, it looks as though the through trains (Mon-Sat) in January are 08.06, 10.06 and 12.06; Sunday times don't seem available just yet....

I have just booked a later train which will give me 3 hours from landing time, it's a straight through train, 1st class and has only cost me £19.80 because I have just recently had a big birthday so I am now eligible to buy a senior railcard lol which at £30 for the year has already just saved me £11 so good value and as suggested with it being January you never know what the weather will be like and also not worth the worry of missing it. Thanks for your help

We are flying Cobalt to Manchester next month and have just been notified of the flight change.
I emailed Cobalt last week and they confirmed that they use terminal 1 at Manchester.

To top it all I've now received another email/message to say that the flight from Manchester to Larnaca has also now changed, if it wasn't for the fact that I've got extremely cheap flights compared to what I paid last Christmas, I would have probably asked for a refund. Don't know why they couldn't have let me know they had both changed at the same time

Well, at least you won't have to worry about catching a train from Larnaca! Image

Hi we are travelling back from Manchester in January and have heard nothing about the return flight being changed so I checked on their website and they are still quoting 10:10 am departure on a Thursday and 10:20 on a Sunday what departure time have they quoted to you.

I am flying with Cobalt to Manchester on Sunday 27th, returning following Sunday 4th December and these are the new times they have informed me about by emails recently.
