Recommendations for Hospitals Greek Side
I need to have a pacemaker fitted asap but... Because of another medical condition I'm unable to fly and can't therefore go to Turkey to have the pacemaker fitted or the UK. The cardiologist I saw said pacemakers are not fitted in The TRNC. She suggested Turkey or the UK but when I mentioned to her my other medical condition she suggested visiting a hospital on the Greek side.
Can anyone recommend a good hospital on the Greek side please?
Thanks

Hi Bert,
How do you know they fit pacemakers at the Near East as the cardiologist today said they do not fit them anywhere in The TRNC?

My wife had a pacemaker fitted in NearEast two years ago and very well treated there as well. Excellent cardiologist and follow up service. The pacemaker that was inplanted was the well knowm American brand that is standard practise in UK, i have had an ECG relay implant in the UK which is made by the same American company brand as my wifes implant MEDTRONIC.

Yes they do fit them in the Near East University Hospital. Friend has recently had one done.

If you use Near East get a quote first in writing. If they do the op I am sure the Kolan will, worth enquiring and getting prices, know a few people that have had excellent treatment far cheaper than NE.

No problem it seems we have constant water emergencies living here.
What we especially like about AMI is that you see the same Doctor & they keep all your records in a file, not sure about Near East as we have not been there but all the other hospitals/doctors we have been to here do not seem to have much continuity - good luck.
