bbciplayer problem again

I am still having problems watching this. It is hit and miss whether it comes up or not. Keeps saying it only works in the UK. I have tried it with MM VPN and my own private VPN and a lot of times neither of them can bring it up. Anyone any idea why this happens. Advice would be gratefully accepted.

What setting have you got for the VPN type? MM VPN has recently been upgraded so that old settings really needed to be changed...

"MM free VPN now supports L2TP secure protocol... use shared ipsec key: tvmax" edit from KBASAT post on another thread

If you haven't done so, edit you connection to use L2TP shared ipsec key: tvmax

Also sometimes I find that shutting down my browser and re-trying makes it work if it is being problematic (in not seeming to pick up the UK VPN mode)

Sorry Groucho, but all this technical stuff is beyond me. This has happened many times before and then suddenly it rights itself again. So will wait and hope it comes back. Many many thanks for trying to help.

Hi Groucho, I have just turned off my computer and waited a minute or two started it up again and it is working. Thats why sometimes it worked and sometimes not. In future İ will close it and restart it again. Great.

Wish someone could help me as to why I can no longer obtain iPlayer on my Amazon Kindle HDFire. Never been asked if I have a TV License on that one. Someone did suggest it was something to do with Amazon and the way they set it up.

I had trouble getting BBCiplayer and my VPN provider told me to clear my browsing history and cookies and rebooting system, it worked but is a pain having to do it every time you want to use it! To do this on your Kindle Fire go to the silk browser, you will see 3 vertical dots on the right hand side at the top, click, then click on history, then on the bin symbol which will take you to a page where you can choose what to clear. Make sure you clear history from 'the beginning of time'. Hope this helps.

I still don't know why when we connect the i pad to the TV we get perfect picture but no sound on BBC i player only. Using the MM vpn and film on we get sound and picture so the problem appears to be BBC i player.
Any suggestions please.........

Hi.I use TunnelBear to give me a VPN address in the uk.I know it sounds crazy but I have this problem with BBC I player sometimes so instead of trying to click on the newest tv programs I go into the A-Z and click a random program. For some reason it lets me do that and once that's happened I return to the newest programs and it then lets me view them.

Sounds weird I know but it works for me.
