Dash Camara????
Like most of us, I've had some near misses & a rear end shunt. Was convinced they were on phone but no proof.
Whilst in UK for few weeks want to get a Dual Cash cam. There lots of them at very varying prices.
Anybody recommend one?

If the offending driver is a TC /has friends in high places , you'll have little to no chance of having any footage admitted as evidence , Save your money.

Re: Dash Camara????
I've just bought a dashcam (not dual) last week, and would suggest looking here for reviews - unfortunately, this particular review is a couple of years old, and while he has reviewed quite a lot of dashcams more recently, there appear to be only a couple of dual cam reviews. Nevertheless, he does seem to give everything a good testing, and the one I've bought was recommended - he also reviews all sorts of other items....

Re: Dash Camara????
I got a perfectly adequate one from Maplins for £35 last year.
Also if you have an Android 'phone, there is an excellent App called ROADAR - it's worth paying the small amount for the Pro version, GPS tracking, time and date stamp, auto-save recording in the event of a collision etc. All you need extra is a suction grip windscreen mount to hold the 'phone in position, and there's loads of them on ebay for a couple of pounds.
I don't know on what factual basis people say that the evidence would not be considered - the other party may try to wriggle out of it, this happens all over the World, but if so, you need to have some guts and 'Stand Your Ground' - I can't believe the spineless attitude of 'Just give up, we won't succeed'

Re: Dash Camara????
Valid point but if one was unfortunate to capture a fatal accident on a dash cam, the police would be duty bound to look at the footage and act upon the evidence. If an incident arose over a minor collision that was also recorded and the Police chose to ignore it, then it should still be brought to the attention of a superior officer and maybe the local newspapers, granted, it will probably still be ignored. However, if dash cams were more widely used here and this fact highlighted then it can only be a good thing. If the offending driver is a TC /has friends in high places , you'll have little to no chance of having any footage admitted as evidence , Save your money
Another suggestion, as the "Nocturnal" Traffic Police are very busy doing non traffic related duties during the day, offer a reward scheme, submit your dash cam evidence of traffic violations to the police, we could all then retire (again) off the proceeds.
Re: Dash Camara????
We recent fitted a 'Next Base'. The camera is recommended by Which as a 'best buy'. Cost £149. Purchased in UK
