My wife and I bought Travel Insurance from Naim at Ceremi Travel to cover us on our 7 day Mediterranean Cruise. We are both between 70 and 75 and take the usual 'old folks' pills. We were charged 17 Euros each and no questions about our age or health history - well impressed.
During the cruise my wife had an 'incident' which required a trip to the Ship's Doctor. She received some treatment and was kept under observation for 3 hrs before being released. We were hugely amazed to receive a bill just shy of £2000 - a massive rip-off which was confirmed when I showed our local doctor here the cost breakdown.
I took the Medical Bill to Naim and asked him to reclaim the money for us. There were initially a couple of problems regarding my bank details here in Cyprus, but after their assistance the money, minus 39 TL, was paid into our Current Account - a fabulous result.
We went back to Thank Naim, and to ask if we could now buy Travel Insurance for a 3 week holiday in Spain. No problem; again there were no problems about our age nor questions about our health, and the cost was 30 Euros each. So there is no doubt where we will buy our Travel Insurance in future.
In case you are interested about making enquiries yourself, Ceremi Travel is situated in Karaolanaglu (spelling??) on the right leaving Girne, opposite a restaurant called Chicken Planet and about 50 metres before the Verandah restaurant.

Re: Travel Insurance
Really good to hear, we went with Staysure who refused to pay as policy only had a few days left.... Totally amazing and disappointing. Will try this recommended insurance next time.

Re: Travel Insurance
I have enquired at this shop for insurance, but the only problem is that the insurance does not come into effect until you leave Turkey, as it is a Turkish company. Therefore you are not covered between North Cyprus and Turkey.
I have just enquired at Capital insurance in Karsiyaka who have quoted me 22 Euros for a 2 month trip, although for some reason they cannot process it till 15th Dec as the trip is in 2017.

I have always used Bengo and Staysure but Bengo does not now allow you to start your insurance outside the UK, which they did before. Staysure allows you to start your journey outside the UK but I have never had a reason to claim so am dismayed to hear they would not pay out. I too will be looking for other insurance in future if this is the way Staysure treat their customers.

Also dismayed by Staysure. We have often used them but not claimed. Surely they are in breach of contract? Did you find anything in the small print?
