Helicopter Spraying above Malatya, Ilgaz, Karmi this morning

Anyone know why there was a helicopter spraying between Malatya and Karmi this morning.

Did quite a few circular journeys for about 30 mins

There was one in the hills above Turtle Bay, Esentepe last week,
doing the same thing.

This could be against the pine moth, you will see there webs in the pine trees, this kills the tree.

I understand from a local they are, after a gap of 4 years, spraying against the procession caterpillar. They were virtually dive bombing our house, but sadly it started to rain just before they finished, so what good it did I have no idea. With luck it won't have mattered.

I believe the spraying is a biocide against the pine moth larvae .
Same spraying over woodland west of the reservoir today.

They have been spraying above Catalkoy as well.

How do residents discover exactly what chemicals are being used and why?

exactly what I was thinking..i still cant believe that millions don't get the impact on what crap is in our food and in the air, and don't seem to be bothered.. that aspartame (in diet coke n diet and non diet products) the sugar free substitute actually causes diabetes, changes dna down to molecular structure..blah blah..but then most are just happy in denial, and making sure they keep up with reality tv and soap operas.
