There is a new elctrical shop opposite Alsancak Lemar. They have opening offers on many things, including AC units. Not from there but we have had AC 'Inverter' units fitted and, although more expensive to buy, much, much cheaper to run.

I have had two inverters fitted. The make is Airfel made by Daikin. The man who did them is named Erkan and if you would like his number please let me know. As Dani says, much much cheaper to run.

I have recently purchased a 24000 BTU Grundig inverter aircon unit from HayPem in Alsancak. Excellent service from Unal as usual. We tried Bosch, Arcelik and Vestel and none of them were able to supply this size.

We brought ours from Halos, by the by-pass roundabout, The price included fitting but can't remember how much as it was nearly 2 years ago. The prices at the new electric shop - Teknogold - are from 2,099tl for a 9000btu to 5,999tl for a 24000btu. The one which we have in a room slightly under 4mtrs x 4mtss is a 12000 (2,999tl) which we find sufficient but I think any good electrical shop could advise you.

24000Btu floor standing inverter units are out of stock until Next month (Jan). Price not available yet.

I recommend an Airfell 12,000Btu wall mounted inverter unit supplied and fitted 2200tl 5-year warranty.
