I am a volunteer for the small local Charity the NCCCT and work in The Hut, the sister shop to Heartbeat.
Unfortunately at the moment Heartbeat, which is just at the back of the State Hospital in Girne is closed but obviously we are wanting it open again as soon as possible.
We are looking to form a team of volunteers to give a few hours of their time in a morning to enable us to do this
For those who may not know our Charity, the NorthCyprusCancerCharityTrust is a charity that raises funds which then enable us to buy vital medical equipment that the doctors in the State Hospitals here are in desperate need of, to help any one of us.
There are five of us that work in The Hut for five mornings a week and yes we work hard but we also have lots of laughs and really en joy what we do.
This is what we would like to build up for Heartbeat!

We are a friendly lot and help each other out in which ever we can because we are all doing what we do for a Charity we all believe in.

We are still looking to put together a team of friendly volunteers to enable Heartbeat our Charity shop by the hospital to be able to be open again.
It is only for a few hours in a morning and even if we could get it up and running for maybe two a week , this could then be improved on.
I will be working in its sister shop The Hut tomorrow which is just by the main Car Park and Post Office in Girne.
Pop in and have a chat, the kettle will be on!

I have just had a very nice Lady ring me who is interested in helping the Charity and with getting our Heartbeat shop open again.
Now all I need is a few more of you to want to do the same!
There is another song other than ' Help' and it is 'With a little help from my friends' which I think is quite appropriate.
Please pop in to our sister shop The Hut and see how we all work together. I will be there Saturday morning and then again Tuesday and Thursday.
It can be very busy at times but we always have a good laugh and a banter.
A couple of hours each week given to such a good cause, can't be bad! Go on, you know you want to !

In the Cypriot way - Yavas Yavas - Slowly Slowly!
We have had some offers of help but still need more hands on deck to form a friendly team for Heartbeat to enable the shop to be up and running again .
I will be in The Hut tomorrow and Saturday morning, Olga Friday morning if you would like a chat with one of us about anything to do with the Charity and helping in Heartbeat.
We all care about our small local Charity and are very proud of how it helps the state hospitals,
Please if you can spare a couple of hours a week, having a natter and a laugh but at the same time doing something worthwhile we would love to have you on board.
