Kibtek bills

Have Kibtek now stopped sending electricity bills by email? I was receiving them regularly (about 22 - 26 of each month) since I signed up about 14 months ago, but I still haven't received my January bill.
I'm not overly worried (yet!) as having paid in advance, and not being there at the moment, I'm well in advance - but I do like to know what bits have gone in standing charges and street lighting...
Is anyone else is not receiving by email?

Same as mrsgee, had mine BUT when I went down to pay the people were queuing out onto the road so I think something must have gone wrong with the payment system as nearly everyone inside was local and "LOUD" - lol.

I receive several bills on behalf of customers and since 2017, I have received mine via my Gmail accounts but not via my server provider for another email service. I may have to apologise to him as I had assumed it was his server security not letting the emails through unless of course we have the same local provider.

Thanks for the replies; I'll keep waiting!
SND1966 - just one perturbing thought; now you've mentioned them, I don't have a Gmail address, but I do have a (free, reliable) xxxxat mail.com address - once or twice I've been asked "Do you mean Gmail.." - I just hope that someone at Kibtek has "corrected" what they think is an error in the address.....

Why don't you avoid Kyrenia and go into your local bank where you can pay your KibTek bill and/or your phone bill.

Slightly off topic, but when we got January's bill via text, not signed up to email, I was shocked. We were away for over three weeks and it was 178 tl !

Because the exercise is good for me, mixing with the local people is good for me, it lets me see and understand better what and how local people lead their lives which in turn lets me join in with them more. Apart from that, I am retired and not in a big rush to do anything, so why not? Paying your own bills, in person, lets the company see you and get to know you as well, so when/if you have a problem it is much, much easier to sort out as you are not just seen as another moaning ex pat who wants things done NOW, NOW! One day in every month I wander round and pay my bills, have a cup of coffee or two and maybe a bite to eat in one of the more "local" little places - it's wonderful what information you can gain just by trying to talk the same language and being interested in the "life" of TRNC instead of just being a permanent tourist.

Of course if you run a business here and time is of the essence then by all means use the systems setup to make your life faster - me, I am content to watch the world go by and enjoy the years (hopefully) that I have left without any stress. Horses for courses???

Time is important to me but i rather the direct route, I pay the supplier and if any problems I have the receipt from the supplier. And I can pass this on to my customers who understand kibtek is their electric receipt and like you say when you have a problem 'oh its the one who smiles a lot and pays a lot of bills'.

Never had an email, but have a text every month. I might go into the main office rather than bank if I could be sure of (a) Girne not being gridlocked (b) being able to find somewhere to park if I managed to get into town at all,

sophie, drive like a local, park like a local - never had a problem finding a spot to park in the last 10 years and the gridlock never lasts forever, just smile and enjoy the day. Try driving around the place on an early Sunday morning - you may be surprised at where you find hidden parking places!!

Like you, I am no longer receiving copy bills by e-mail (on around 5th of each month. All was ok up until Dec 2016 but nothing for Jan/Feb. Have checked my spam box but not their either. A neighbour who signed up for the service at the same time as me has received e-mails for Jan &Feb

There was a thread regarding very large bills being issued to some customers in January

As the OP, thanks for all the comments; valid and interesting points re. going to the office/bank, but as I only come over twice a year for about five months in total, that's why I've paid in advance, and - given -

Off topic I know Waddo, but yes, driving around Central on a Sunday morning is lovely and yes I have found loads of patches of waste ground where locals are parking cars overnight and I make a mental note. However, I go to find said piece of waste ground a week later and heigh ho, its boarded off and another block of flats etc about to be constructed.. Believe me I know all manner of back doubles to avoid main roads.

Has anyone actually been in the office yet to see what some emails have stopped being received since 2017, or will I have to wait until the first when I do my monthly visit

sophie, best one I have found is the small pay car park just down from the main car park. Things there have changed a bit since the bus stops all moved close by and I have yet to find the way in unless you ignore the one way signs and just drive past them into the car park - lol. If you are lucky you can get a spot outside there as well but it is in the lap of the God's if one is free. Just before them and beside the place where all the concerts are held is some ground that is normally usable - not in the rain - but for all of them, if you are not there before 09:00 then forget it!
