Smart Credit Card a (Iktisatbank).
Has anybody used their points of the above card to book
flights with Turkish Airlines? If so how did it go? We would
be very interested to know the outcome. Thanks in advance.

Please let me know if you have booked a flight using your points
on the Smart credit card. Did everything go o.k. or did you have
problems. I tried to find out about how many points were needed
for a return flight to U.K. but the person on the other end of the
phone didn't exactly fill me with confidence with some of the
answers he gave me and he was a little vague at times on some
things. Thanks in advance for any replys

With SmartCard the number of points you have are trebled when using them for flights, therefore if you have 60 points this is equivalent to 60TL x 3= 180TL towards the cost of a flıght. If your flıght cost is more than the amount of points you have then the balance is deducted from your card.
When you call they will tell you the cost of the flıght, the amount of points you have available and also any additional amount you have to pay that will be taken from your card.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards
Natalie

Thanks Natalie. I have gone all through that but as I say the person i was talking to
when I phoned didn't exactly fill me with confidence and I just wondered if anybody
had actually booked a flight and if it was o.k.

Yes we got 2 free flights to turkey when that was the offer for I think, 70 points. They have changed it slightly since then, and I don't know how many points are needed.
Our flights were booked with pegasus to Antalya.
As you say the guy that you speak to seems a bit difficult, but it was all good in the end and we asked them for e mail confirmation, which we got. so go for it.

Will do Groucho, bot it may be a while until we get enough points.
You are looking at nearly 400 points per person to go to Birmingham
in May, so we have a little way to go yet.
