kidney failure: up to 40.000 a year.

you may get all cheaper here in TRNC, but some treatments are insufficient or they can not do it. and even half of the bill can limit your lifetime and or comfort considerably...
stroke: a friend of mine was in Near east, got 10 days " first treatment" to stabilise him... and then was send home.
he went back home abroad, and got proper treatment and rehabilitation for several month. he needs his pill till end of his life.
a relative of mine was diagnosted with a not operable brain tumor (radiotherapy needed) . recommendation was: germany asap..
or do you want a kidney transplantation for 20.000 here in TRNC?
i may remind you for two posts here: tulips "food for cancer patients" and the attempt to find a nurse for an elderly british stroke patient who was not able to do anyting (and still was sent home, i believe it was to Esentepe)
or shall i remind you of the 20.000 GBP request for the "release of a body", which went through Cyprus today one , two weeks ago?

an eye test (100 lira), a nasty tooth.. all not really in need to be insured, sure. but the big ones.

well, papa, go and ask. somewhat half? a bit less?
and often only because some or most of the eg, Siemens, GE equipment is bought second hand or is the "downgraded" model...
so often is it said here... cyprus is back 10, 20 , 30 years... but this does not apply for medical services?
all over the sudden all is top notch?

and as i said, many treatments are not available. for tech reasons or others, eg a rehabilitation or care in general or in english language or to learn to speak again after a stroke....

As a resident in M33, I can assure you that the current (and all those recently departed) inhabitants of M33 will definitely argue the point....
If you want a greedy, selfish, uncaring (and widely suspected) corrupt council, this is the place - if not, steer clear of south-west Manchester.....

The Taxi driver, as I said before, is my relative and he is also an ambulance driver....we both went and asked the police on duty in the Hospital a few months ago and it was them that told him and he relayed it to me because I was waiting outside.

I know it isn't good to trust what you are told when someone without authority tells you something, but this came from the police so they do have a little authority on this subject.

Of course they could easily be wrong but they are probably more likely to be right than a random stranger of which I have had some unusual advice from during my time here, once, someone told me if you didn't pay a speeding fine after 2 years they'd bill you over a million TL in late fees. I guess some people really do just make it up as they go along.

I suggest that if you have triggered a speed camera legitimately (i.e. you have been caught) then at some stage you will be served a notice that needs to be paid in full within 15 days. The 15 days applies to you not them. They can serve the notice any time - as a civilian matter of less than a certain value there is no limitation on how long the period between the offence and the date of serving the notice can be.

I have never said that it would double exponentially only that the original amount will double after 15 days and a further increase in the penalty will accrue with each passing month thereafter.

NO!!! Dad took me to Ebford, Devon 2 days before my third birthday but only after living at the gipsy hill hotel for 9 months as my parents were not sure whether they would stay in Exeter when he was promoted.

You are right but I only said it would double not double the double, i.e. the original figure would keep being added to the debt... this is how it was explained to me by the police radar section... so 15 would become 30 then 45 etc. not as your maths would have it...

now you labour your original point till you are blue in the face and ignore speeding tickets all you like but it's not wise to advise others to follow suit as they might blame you for their massive debts...
