You need to know somebody who can invite you to a table. If you are really somebody who knows somebody then you may actually get a table - then you can invite people to join you at your table and prove that you are somebody who knows somebody. If you don't know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody then the chances are you will not get an invite and therefore miss out on not understanding why it is you went in the first place. I used to know somebody but now I don't and I still don't understand why I went in the first place - apart from the fact it was a Military Band playing and I am a sucker for military bands.
