Hi
Ozay Mehmet was born in Nicosia and now he lives in Canada.

Shame and Salvation is a family story of Cyprus as it was at the end of thhe 19th CenturyIt is a world of bandits ,landlords and divided communities....told as a story of family members in 3 generations over 130 years as they lived ,loved and struggled in Ottoman ,British and the war years, through decades of violence and the short lived independance in 1960.The bittersweet story of the Uzan Ali family unfolds in such diverse places as Canada ,England,Turkey .Uganda and Liberia but the glue that binds all is Cyprus

Wow. Just realised it is tomorrow. I am so sorry I can't go, but hope a lot of you can. Interesting man Prof Ozey and it sounds a great book.
