Does any one have any idea , if you pull your property off the market do you still have to pay the Estate Agent whom you had it advertised with.

We didn't, but I would guess it would depend on your contract.

And if they subsequently find out you sold privately during the time they were advertising/ marketing it you could have problems.

...that is, you would have to pay the commission!

IMO, if it hasn't been/isn't going to be sold - morally, no payment due; legally (in UK) dependant on contract; in Cyprus - you pay....
If it has been sold privately (NOT seen in estate agents' adverts - prove it!), morally, no payment; legally (in UK) dependant on contract; in Cyprus - you pay....
...what chance of not paying do you think.....

so if you have your property for sale with multiply estate agents and one sells it you have to pay all the other estate agents as well

I think how it works is if you have multi agents selling your property then the commission paid is normally higher than if you just have one.
Normally the deal is if you pull your property off the market after an agreed time period no commission is due ?..that is the way I understand it .

As understand it, you have to give them 14 days notice by letter of taking out of their hands.
