Just downloaded this to my iPad and looking forward to a good read and some old memories as I was stationed at Nicosia Airport UN Camp on the morning the fighter jets came from Turkey and bombed the airport runways etc.

I loved this book and did not want it to end. In parts it's sad and also funny at the same time, but a great interpretation from a young boys experience in Cyprus. Soner tells the story excellently. I would recommend it to everyone, it's a great read.

I got the book last year, well worth a read, as an Ex service man I had some background awareness of the cyprus issue and the conduct of the Greek Cypriots, I would recommend this book as a read all day well put together Soner, another book worth a read is called ( End Of A Friendship, )
