Frank and Joan Our continuing adventure in N/C
Tried to get into Frank and Joan's page but all I get is ( Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL. ) has it all come to an end, I just loved reading about their adventures, and have since 2002 just cant believe they have gone they will be missed. I wish them all the best in the future and I thank them for the enjoyment they gave me and the thousands of other people who followed them. Thank you again and God bless you both for the future.

Frank and Joan have given up their blog due Frank says partly to age, and I suspect because of some criticism on this board.
I will be sorry to lose them as i have followed them for years.

Yes really sorry Frank has given up. I've always enjoyed his little reports on life here. In fact it is partly due to Frank and Joan that we moved here from Turkey. Good luck to them both for the future.

We found them very helpful when we were planning to move here, not just the blog; they were always quick to answer our questions.
Good luck to them in the future.

Yes, I shall miss their posts, and the criticism on here was unjustified.

I have followed Frank for many years and really appreciate the time and effort he put into the blog. The information he posted was both useful and entertaining.
I wish them both much happiness for the future.

Yes, I wish them well too. Like others, I got lots of details about moving/living in N Cyprus from them in the years before actually making the move here.

Just as others have said, a lot of my initial information was gleaned from Frank's Blog, and later from Frank himself - he must have the patience of a Saint, the number of times that I rang him with obscure queries
I still bump into him or Joan occasionally when running errands - a new car battery... - oh, there's Frank on a similar mission! ... a visit to the 'Pie Shop' (Gül Bakery at the top of the street ) - there's Frank, inspecting the Croissants ... A special night out at Veni Vici, and there's Joan, as charming and friendly as ever, despite the comments that I've made about the BRS (She was/is the BRS 'rep' for Lapta).
Some may have thought his postings were 'mundane', but to someone desperate to acquire information and to get a 'flavour' of life in TRNC, his website was a goldmine.
Thank you Frank!
