The Cyprus Mail has an article saying that the RoC government has published a bill to legalise the sale of ampulla is restaurants. This practice is barbaric and will further encourage the illegal trappers. The bill cannot be allowed to pass so please spread the word. If the link goes viral there is more chance of the RoC changing their minds, as they would not want to put tourism at risk.

Horrendous practice. Cruel and barbaric. What's the matter with these people. Are they so starved of food down south? Although there have been rumors for years that they can be found on some "unprinted" menus here .

As most illegal trapping, using Mist Nests and Limesticks appears to take place on British Sovereign Base Areas, I sincerely hope that the British Security Forces adopt a shoot-to-kill policy

That is, of course unlikely, but given the recent incident (which is presumed to have been perpetrated by poachers) where an explosive device was thrown at a SBA sentry point, I am sure that the sentries will be on high alert, and prepared to defend themselves...

Strictly speaking they should only be Blackcaps or/and Song thrush but the bstards behead, pluck and de-leg any small birds and pass them off as the genuine ambelopulia ... no surprise there, they are crooks wearing the disguise of misplaced cultural heritage.

It's a barbaric crime carried out by barbarians on an industrial scale by mafia .... largely on British Sovereign Territory... the base police force should feel ashamed.

The SBA Police are, mostly, GCs from the local area and subject to family intimidation. HQ BFC should grip this situation using uniformed British soldiers and enforce cordons around the areas being used.
