fire last night Karaman
please be careful out there, we had a narrow escape in karaman last night due to a fire starting just lower then the village tip, lucky the fire brigade got things under control before the wind got up and spread it

There is another fire reported on FB in Kapouti (Morphou) but is under control. Its rumoured Anastasiadis has refused help from our side....

It's strange the way things get reported: http://cyprus-mail.com/2017/07/02/fire- ... tis-north/
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.

I believe the fire is now under control (out). It started in a picnic area near Kalkanli and destroyed between 1500 and 2000 donums. I don't see what Anastasiades has to do with it though.ljarvo wrote:Its terrible - thank god the wind blew the other way....shame about all the tortoise's that perished...

It started just in front of Kismet. We saw it begin from here on Carob Way! Too close for comfort for sure!andrew4232 wrote:please be careful out there, we had a narrow escape in karaman last night due to a fire starting just lower then the village tip, lucky the fire brigade got things under control before the wind got up and spread it
