Looking for a home......

We're a young English couple, having lived here for 5 years and both of us working, with work permits so we're all legal and trying to find a nice home is proving an absolute nightmare! As most of us know, the agents here don't want anything to do with rentals as there isn't any money in it for them and many private home owners don't want to rent due to the hundreds of horror stories of people not paying their rents, trashing the houses and then needing a court order to get the tenants out, - we get it and completely understand. But please, please, can someone give us a break. As I mentioned, we're both in full time employment, have work permits and references from previous landlords and all we want is a nice home. If any has or knows someone who has a villa or nice apartment in the Catalkoy/Kyrenia area who would be happy to rent to us for a minimum of 6 months, please get in touch. We guarantee rent every month and will look after the place like our own. All we ask is that the rent be sensible as we do work in North Cyprus after all.

I know of a villa that will be available in Catalkoy in August. It is a lovely house. Has no pool and quite a large garden.
The owner is looking for a new tenant so I can speak to them and show them your post.
You can message me privately as I don't know what rent you were thinking of but I do know how much they will be asking per month for this villa.

It's amazing how many places over here that you see empty, some having never had anyone live in them and no one willing to rent. If anyone has a neighbour or someone in their street with an empty place who may consider renting to safe tenants, i.e. we're clean and guaranteed to pay the rent and keep the place clean and in a good state of repair, please can you have a chat with them. We keep seeing all of these empty places but don't have a clue how to contact the owners! Surely having someone in somewhere looking after the place is better than letting it go to ruin and disrepair?

I also speak Turkish so can speak to any natives as well.
