Is there any way of getting a uk passport renewed here in cyprus?

As far as I know not IN Cyprus, but it should be possible FROM Cyprus - via couriers like DHL etc. This link may help

I renewed mine a couple of months ago,applied online, took it to Dagli insurance. Karanglanoglu where it was sent by DHL. Quite simple and completed in just over two weeks.

The passports are sent to Belfast and DEL charge 50 euros,plus of course there is the cost of the passport itself.

You can renew form Cyprus, BUT if you go back to the UK once a year (and some UK residents in North Cyprus seem to go back there every other month!) then it is just as easy to renew you passport while you are there. For a relatively small extra charge you can renew using the 'four hour service.' My wife and I did that and had a day out in London while we were at it!
