Re: Miniature Village
Go past Esentepe village turn-off but stay on the main Girne-Tatlisu road. Drive on for about 12 minutes until you meet the crossroads. Turn left and head on until you come to the Tatlisu roundabout. At the roundabout, go straight on for another 5km and you will see the Panagia Pergaminiotissa Church standing out and signposted on your right. The Minia Kibris (Mini Cyprus) Museum adjoins Panagia Pergaminiotissa Church which is also worth seeing. There is a 5TL entrance fee to the site. You can't miss it. After your visit, go a further 5km along to the Tatlisu Belediye Zambak beach and restaurant for lunch or a drink - restaurant juts out into the sea.

Re: Miniature Village
A word of warning. If you do drive on later to the Tatlisu Belediye Zambak beach and restaurant, take the road at theSECOND sign to the beach - not the first. The road by the first sign takes you on a tortuous route via the old potholed coast road!

Don't know when you last took that potholed road Sussexboy but it was a lovely tarmacked road last time I drove on it. Being picky I know but it is not a crossroads but a T junction, right for Ercan & left for Tatlisu & all points east. Lovely setting to stop for lunch though.

Re: Miniature Village
You are correct Cally - it's a T junction at which you turn left. Did not know that the old winding coast road had been made up. It was still in an appalling state a couple of years ago. Notwithstanding that, the second signposted turning to the beach off the new main road is far quicker.

Re: Miniature Village
Couldn't agree more about 2nd turning...you are there but for us when returning back to Tatlisu it was nice to drive on the winding road, not that there is ever much traffic on the direct road

Re: Miniature Village
Sorry, don't know opening times but I'm sure it is open by 10.30am. This is an open air museum of 15 model buildings in the church grounds and well worth seeing. However, I doubt if anyone would spend much more than 30 minutes outside viewing them. The church - included in the 5TL charge - is cool throughout the day with interesting exhibits, including Cyprus flora. There are also toilets on site.

This is worth a look, and is well signposted from the main road.

Re: Miniature Village
,,,and if you are driving from Kyrenia direction the turning is the other side of Tatlisu, ie past the roundabout and football ground.
