I have never heard of this method, I did once have a long wick soaked in like a brown tar wound into my ears in hospital in the UK. But I wondered if this may be of any help to you, Dr Memhet near Pia Bella. he uses a micro camera and removes the wax etc. 0533 872 0872 that's his mobile.

Dr Kadir is an excellent ENT specialist he is at the new hospital in Karakum on a Monday & has the same equipment, you do not necessarily need an appointmnt just walk in & take pot luck. The rest of the week he is at Near East in Lefkosa.
